Clips of PIMCO employees speaking intercut with shots of groups of employees talking with each other.

Steven: I did not anticipate coming here at all. I was a computer science major and math minor.

Gaya: I studied engineering by background, and I interned in a lot of different sales and trading roles. And I did like the financial markets.

Tiffany: Earlier on in my career I worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Then I did a short stint at a hedge fund.

Cristina: I love numbers and I felt that in finance I could leverage this passion and understand even more why markets, effects and prices were moving up and down.

Steve: When you get into the technology field, one of the rewarding things is that it doesn’t really matter what industry you go into. Everything needs a tech department.

Gaya: I did want something a little bit more on the strategy investment side. I wanted to be in a wheel house where people kind of looked at the macro situation and that’s exactly what I got here.

Tiffany: PIMCO is known to be more of a macro shop in the sense that they are doing the macro economic research, they had publications, they had blogs.

Iggy: I actually left PIMCO to go pursue my business school education at MIT Sloan. And then I rejoined after those two years.

Tiffany: Prior to joining I actually did more interest rate or financial market research. Then I came here and shifted gears doing more on the economic side, more with the real economy and the data.

Steve: I'm in a really lucky position to be able to have a lot of opportunities, because machine learning is so cutting-edge. I really got the impression that they had faith in me and they wanted me to bring things to the table.

Gaya: As a product strategy analyst, my day-to-day responsibility really is to make people truly understand what they're investing in. And that is my favorite part of the job.

Iggy: As I have grown and developed, I’ve gained responsibility for some of the largest relationships that we have here at PIMCO, period.
